Animoto

The link will take you to my Animoto video, which is what I will use at the beginning of the school year to show the Respect and Responsibility expectations to my incoming 6th grade students.  Animoto was a little confusing to use at first, but after making a few slides I really started to like it!  There are so many themes and options that you can use with the free version.  I also really think the finished product looks great and I think it is something that will be informational and engaging for my new 6th grade students to watch.

About Me!

Hello!

Welcome to my blog!  My name is Mr. Wilmoth and I am a Special Education Teacher at Torrington Middle School in Torrington, Wyoming and I teach grades 6-8.  I graduated from Chadron State College in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education.  I am currently working on my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Peru State College and will graduate in December of 2021.

As far as technology goes, I really do not have a preference on a specific system.  I am currently blogging on a Microsoft computer, but I am "team iphone" and also have two ipads that I use a lot.  I have not really run into anything with either system that makes me love or hate it.  Technology changes so fast, I have just learned to adapt and overcome and I have adapted well enough that I am comfortable with either system.

Getting a Masters degree has always been something I have wanted to do, and so after 3 years of teaching I decided it was time to stop procrastinating and I begin working on my Masters Degree.  I think as educators, we should never stop educating ourselves and trying to improve ourselves professionally and the way I felt like improving myself was by pursuing my Masters degree and I felt this program at Peru State would help me further my career in education.
